What is One Equal Music?

One Equal Music encompasses a range of projects and events centred on music and the arts, aiming to be genuinely inclusive, and to create opportunities for all to benefit from, and grow through, music making.

There are two main areas One Equal Music focuses on: Supporting Emerging Musicians and Music for Wellbeing.  We’re already supporting emerging musicians through the St Paul’s Organ Scholarship and University of Bristol Church Choir, and run a regular Singing for the Brain group aimed at people living with dementia.  Over the next year, we plan to expand on these areas with a range of different projects and initiatives.  An email update outlining some of these plans can be read here.

Performance is an important aspect of One Equal Music, and so far we have hosted an innovative concert of spoken word, light and choral music by the Avon Chamber Choir, and two mammoth 12 hour Music Marathons, giving informal performance opportunities to a range of local musicians and groups.  See below for further details of our past events.

If you’re interested in getting involved with One Equal Music, please do get in touch using the details at the bottom of this page, and you may also be interested in reading our Letter to Partners.

One Equal Music is grateful for the support of The Williams Church Music Trust.
