Marriage and Blessings of Weddings or Civil Partnerships

Our church is a beautiful venue and we would love to welcome you to celebrate your marriage or perform a marriage blessing.

We deeply regret that in the Church of England it is not yet possible to hold marriage ceremonies for same-sex couples. However, at St Paul’s we are delighted to offer prayers and blessings for people in same-sex relationships, and we celebrate the joy of love in all its many forms.

Please contact our parish administrator to discuss planning a wedding at St Paul’s Clifton.

Marriage Banns

If you live within the parish of St Paul’s but are getting married at another church, you will need to get your banns read at three of our services. This must take place three months before your wedding.

You can determine which parish you belong to by entering your postcode on the website A Church Near You.

To arrange having your marriage banns read and getting a banns certificate, please contact our parish administrator who will send over the relevant forms.

Funeral or Memorial Service

Arranging a funeral or memorial service can be an overwhelming time. If you have recently lost someone close to you, you have our deepest condolences.

If you would like to hold a funeral at St Paul’s, will take time to be with you and offer pastoral care, support and help in celebrating the memories of your loved one within a dignified and beautiful service. Our experience means that we are able to walk alongside you, and your family and friends, as we shape the service together.

Please do contact our parish administrator in the first instance to make arrangements.
