Paul Roberts Our vicar is Paul Roberts, whom we share with our sister church, Cotham Parish Church. Originally from South Wales, Paul studied theology at Manchester University before being ordained. He spent twelve years  teaching theology at Trinity College in Bristol, before taking up his present post. He is married to Sharon, and they have two teenage children. His PhD is in the sphere of Christian Worship, and he maintains an active interest in the study of worship and contemporary Christian mission.







Jennifer Cooper Our curate is Jennifer Cooper. A Canadian, Jennifer came to the UK to read for a D Phil in Theology at Oxford. After completing her doctorate she remained in Oxford for several years as a Research Fellow and Lecturer in Systematic Theology. Jennifer prepared for ordination at Ripon College Cuddesdon and moved to Bristol in 2006 to take up her curacy with us at St Paul’s and at Cotham parish Church. Alongside her pastoral ministry she remains active in academic research and continues to be a member of the Oxford Faculty of Theology













We have two Licenced Lay Ministers based at St Paul’s: Derek Jay and Rob Dimbleby.
Derek JayDerek is an early-retired Religious education teacher who has also
worked in inter-faith issues. He is currently training to be a spiritual
director and is one of the licensed lay ministers (aka Reader) in the
benefice. His hobbies include reading, early choral music, film and
spending too much time on the internet.











Rob DimblebyRob is our other Lay Minister and is also one of our church wardens.









Our churchwardens are Rob Dimbleby and Michael Selby.
