Vocal and Instrumental Music inspired by medieval Iberian chant and liturgy.

Music by Francisco Carbonell, Litha Efthymiou, David Greenhorne, John Pickard, and Alison Willis with Angharad Lyddon (mezzo soprano), Harriet Wiltshire (cello), and members of the Bristol Ensemble, Bristol Cathedral Choir, Bristol University Singers and Bristol University Music Department Schola Cantorum. Directed by John Pickard, David Bednall and Emma Hornby.

Admission Free, retiring collection. There will be a short introduction to the research that inspired each piece, in conversation with the composers. The concert will be followed by a reception sponsored by Bristol University Centre for Medieval Studies, at which participants will have the opportunity to explore the digital exhibition introducing Old Hispanic liturgy, developed by Emma Hornby, Rebecca Maloy, Raquel Rojo Carrillo and Paul Rouse. All are very welcome.
